A stellar year for Moneyfacts SIPP and SSAS Star Ratings 2022

Moneyfacts is pleased to announce the Moneyfacts Annual Star Ratings 2022 for the SIPP and SSAS arena.

  • For self-invested personal pensions, there were 29 Five-Star and 23 Four-Star Ratings.
  • For small self-administered schemes, there were 14 Five-Star and nine Four-Star Ratings
  • 68 self-invested personal pension products were assessed for 2022, slightly down on last year’s 71. The number of small self-administered schemes available for 2022 stands at 30, also down on last year, by one.
  • More than 40 fields of information per individual product were collected for assessment.

The products awarded Five or Four-Star Ratings offer the most comprehensive range of standout features and competitive charges, which set them apart from the rest of the market.

The instantly recognisable Moneyfacts badge of quality for more than 30 years helps inform consumers comparing SIPP and SSAS.

Nine out of 10 people agree that a Star Rating from an independent and impartial company could influence their decision in considering taking out a Financial Services product.* (*Source: Moneyfacts Group plc, Financial Services online consumer survey 4/21).

David Stevens, Savings and Retirement Director at LV=, said:

“We are delighted that Moneyfacts has awarded LV=’s SIPP a Five-Star rating. This is the eighth consecutive year we have been awarded a Five-Star rating and will enable advisers to recommend LV=’s SIPP to clients with confidence. We hope the award recognises the work we have done to make LV=’s SIPP more flexible, competitive and attractive. Over the past 18 months we have increased the range of funds on offer through the SIPP, including a selection of ESG funds, and we have launched our unique Smoothed Managed Fund for Pension, now with enhanced smoothing from day two of investment.”

Andy Bowsher, Director of Self Invested Pensions at XPS, said:

“The continued Five-Star endorsements from Moneyfacts Star Ratings gives adviser firms another reason to continue recommending our excellent SIPP and SSAS products.”

Paul Downing, Chief Executive Officer at Rowanmoor, said:

“A Moneyfacts five-star rating is fantastic recognition for the quality and technical expertise that our SSAS administration teams provide to advisers and their clients.”
