A stellar year for the Moneyfacts Ethical Funds Star Ratings 2022

Moneyfacts is pleased to announce the Moneyfacts Annual Star Ratings 2022 for Ethical Funds

  • 27 products achieved a Five-Star rating, an 8% increase on 2021, with the number of Four-Star ratings remaining unchanged at 11.
  • There has also been an increase in funds assessed, increasing by 4% year-on-year.
  • Over 40 fields of information were collected per fund for assessment.

The products awarded Five or Four-Star Ratings offer the most comprehensive range of standout features and competitive charges, which set them apart from the rest of the market.

The instantly recognisable Moneyfacts badge of quality for over 30 years helps inform consumers comparing ethical funds. About nine out of 10 people agree that a Star Rating from an independent and impartial company could influence their decision in considering taking out a Financial Services product.* (*Source: Moneyfacts Group plc, Financial Services online consumer survey 4/21).

Daniel Barber, Chief Commercial Officer at EdenTree Investment Management, said:

“EdenTree has remained at the forefront of ESG investing, to be consistently recognised with a Five-Star Moneyfacts product rating reflects our depth of expertise and knowledge of responsible and sustainable investing, developed for over 30 years. To get a continued vote of confidence from an industry expert like Moneyfacts gives us confidence that responsible and sustainable investing really does make a difference.”

Premier Miton, said:

“We’re delighted that Moneyfacts has awarded the Premier Miton Responsible UK Equity Fund with a Five-Star rating for the third year running, reflecting the consistency and quality of the fund’s investment approach and investment results.”

Lee Tillcock, Editor of Investment Life & Pensions Moneyfacts, said:

“The continuing growth within the ethical, sustainable and socially responsible investing (SRI) fund arena is encompassing a broader range of approaches, making fund selection an increasingly difficult task. Increasingly coming to the fore in recent years, this growth in SRI has been driven by greater awareness of the environmental and financial risks posed by issues such as climate change. The Moneyfacts Ethical Funds Star Ratings highlight the ethical funds that offer the most flexible options and competitive charges, combined with a robust ethical screening policy.”
