Moneyfacts launches new Service Star Ratings for 2026

New for this year are the Personal Current Account Easy to Open Annual Star Ratings. Here we have collected consumer and provider feedback, provider data on opening times, steps to complete an online application and data on the speed of services provided, combined with Moneyfacts' expert analysis to assess providers.

In addition, the Personal Savings Easy to Open Annual Star Ratings return for another year, assessing the ease of a new customer opening an account with each provider.

  • For Personal Savings Easy to Open there were 45 Five-Star and 23 Four-Star awarded across the providers of onshore savings accounts.
  • For Personal Current Account Easy to Open there were 11 Five-Star and six Four-Star awarded across the providers of current accounts.

Moneyfacts has been analysing data for more than 35 years, with the instantly recognisable Moneyfacts badge of quality helping inform consumers when comparing savings and current accounts.

Nine out of 10 people agree that a Star Rating from an independent and impartial company could influence their decision in considering taking out a Financial Services product.* (*Source: Moneyfacts Group Plc, Financial Services online consumer survey 2/25).
