“West Brom Building Society has launched a new Double Access Account (Issue 2) this week, which pays 3.85%. The account grabs a position towards the top of its sector and may attract savers with as little as £1 to invest who are able to limit their withdrawals to two per year, so careful planning is wise. Applicants can put aside £250 per month and earn an attractive rate of 4.50% gross. The account does offer some flexibility, but it would be wise for savers to plan carefully if they expect to make withdrawals as this account only allows withdrawals to take place on two days per annum.
