The Role
We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic Lead Web Developer to join a small team working in an agile like environment supporting and designing a wide variety of websites and applications that are extensively data driven.
The role would suit a Senior Developer looking to take the next step into a Lead role. We are looking for someone with attention to detail and strong teamworking skills to be the technical lead for a small project team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintenance of existing software to support continuous and smooth operations.
- Development of Web and/or Windows Applications to satisfy business requirements.
- Production and maintenance of documentation, designs and diagrams where applicable.
- To adhere to, and challenge, the Moneyfacts development methodology (Coding standards, code reviews, unit testing etc.).
- To propose designs for software modules and develop prototypes where applicable.
- Mentor other members of the team as appropriate.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Preferred 5+ years’ experience in a senior development role.
- Ability to lead a team.
- Proven and demonstrable experience in C# and Web Development.
- Experience with JavaScript front end frameworks, MVC, vue.js and web-services.
- Ability to understand complex problems and break them down into logical steps.
- Ability to work under pressure with an eye for detail and quality
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Good team worker with the ability to work unsupervised
- Have a clear understanding of software design, usage of patterns and test-driven development.
Desirable:
- Experience is working within the Agile development methodology.
- An understanding of financial products and services.
