The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Advertising Sales team in our Norwich office as Client Account Manager for Moneyfacts Magazine which has been published since 1988.
We are looking for a dynamic advertising salesperson with a proven track record in sales to take advertising and awards revenue to the next level.
You will be a tenacious, salesperson with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Always positive, you will relish the opportunity to own and grow your advertising portfolio, and you will be driven by success. You won’t be happy to see house ads in a magazine when you could be earning money from a paid advert!
You will love seeking out new opportunities, exploring, and developing relationships with existing and new advertising clients. Your clients and targets are the UK’s banks, building societies and financial companies. The Moneyfacts brand helps open doors, but you’ll need to be enthusiastic and think “outside of the box” to seek out and target advertising roles from Media Executives to Marketing Directors.
As well as being a team player you will be self-sufficient and be focussed on selling a whole range of print-based advertising space in a monthly subscription magazine as well as email marketing and awards sponsorships, awards table and seats and post-award logo packages.
You’ll also sell short-term Product Ratings logos to banks and building societies where our Data Experts have rated their products Best Buy, Excellent or Outstanding.

This exciting role provides the opportunity to earn an excellent, substantial sales bonus on top of your basic salary.
Key Duties
- Build relationships with existing advertising clients and hunt for new client opportunities.
- Achieve monthly targets for display advertising, awards seats, tables, sponsorship and logo packages
- Actively sell on the phone, email and via face-to-face meetings
- Maximise all sales opportunities for continued growth
- Monitor all competitive media & be aware and report on new developments in the market
- Keeping Sage CRM up to date on your client’s contacts and orders
- Maintain a good presentation pack for prospective clients
- Liaise with accounts department regarding invoicing queries
- Produce commission sheets on a monthly basis
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working in a similar advertising sales role
- Good level of understanding about the financial market
- High level of selling skills
- Comfortable negotiator to get deals over the line
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Self-motivated to find new opportunities for revenue
- Excellent time management skills, with ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good presentation skills, with previous experience presenting solutions to clients
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
- Methodical with a keen eye for detail
- Good levels of numeracy and literacy
- Skills in IT including MS Word, Excel and database management
